On Thursday, September 29, 2011, Scully Oil Company sponsored Sharing Supper at the Mauston High School in their commons.  Many of the employee’s from the Scully Oil Office, Lyndon Station BP and Mauston Interstate BP volunteered their services.  We were all scheduled to do something special.  Some of us greeted guests, others prepared and served the food, some bussed tables, and we all shared in the cleanup.

The theme was “River of Memories”.  There were a variety of programs for everyone young and old to partake in.  Included were Applesauce Making, Kids Period Crafts, Re-enactors, Blood Pressure Screenings, and all sorts of Give Aways.

Sharing Supper’s mission is to provide an opportunity for sharing a community dining experience for all persons in the Mauston/Lyndon Station area and to build social relationships while it feeds the hungry and nourishes the soul.  Sharing Supper’s coordinator, Margie Strouse, has done a wonderful job putting this program together and we are proud to say that Sharing Supper fed well over 320 people in that evening.  And that doesn’t even include those who stopped just for dessert and coffee.  I do believe it was a record!

Congratulations to everyone who participated in this wonderful cause.
